Nikolas Antoniou (Larnaca, Cyprus, 1988) graduated in 2012 from the University of Western Macedonia in Greece. His artistic practice stems from a deep fascination with the human figure, whose forms and expressions he has explored through painting throughout his career. This initial exploration gradually led him to discover new ways of approaching the depth and meaning of human existence.
In this process of experimentation, abstraction took on an increasingly prominent role and led the artist to create abstract landscapes.
His paintings invite the spectator to pause and reflect on the complexities of life and to establish a personal connection with what the work evokes, leaving space for individual interpretation and experience.
Throughout his career, Nikolas Antoniou has presented his work in numerous international solo and group exhibitions, gradually establishing his presence within the contemporary art scene.
His participation in international art fairs includes Volta Basel, the Affordable Art Fair Milan, and Art Athina.
These exhibitions have helped expand the international reach of his work and place it in dialogue with diverse audiences and contexts within the contemporary art world.
