Here and Now

29 January 2026 - 23 March 2026

Marlyn Gallery is pleased to present Here and Now, a group exhibition bringing into dialogue the work of Berlin-based Italian artists Giuseppe Gonella and Stefano Bosis, and Spanish artist Carlos Azañedo.

Oscillating between figuration and abstraction, the exhibition highlights expressiveness through the use of color and the distinctive brushstrokes of each artist. The pieces showcase a painting process that is simultaneously spontaneous and deliberate. Each piece functions as a fragment of memory, reflecting on the way the human mind perceives, interprets and reconstructs fleeting moments. At its core, the exhibition explores the unique and unrepeatable nature of the here and now.

Imagination intertwines with subtle flashes of realism discernible among the layers of pigment. Each artwork merges unreal or imagined scenarios with subtle elements of reality, portraying the world as each artist perceives it. In doing so, the paintings invite viewers to reflect on, and surrender to, the intensity and emotional charge embedded within the compositions.

In an ever-changing world, the present is not a fixed point, but rather a constantly shifting territory. The works of Gonella, Bosis and Azañedo encourage us to reflect on the past, memories and tradition, intertwining these themes and transforming them through emotion. Translated onto the canvas, these reflections urge us to be attentive to —and to fully inhabit—the present moment.
