Cookie Policy

According to the entity that manages the domain from which the cookies are sent and processes the data obtained, cookies can be classified into two types:

• First-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s device from a server or domain managed by the website’s publisher and from which the requested service is provided.

• Third-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s device from a server or domain not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.

If cookies are installed from a server or domain managed by the publisher but the information collected through them is managed by a third party, they cannot be considered first-party cookies.

There is also a second classification based on the length of time they remain stored in the user’s browser:

• Session cookies: Designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a website. They are typically used to store information that is only needed to provide the service requested by the user on a single occasion (e.g., a list of purchased products).

• Persistent cookies: These keep data stored on the device and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the cookie’s controller, which can range from a few minutes to several years.

Finally, there is another classification based on the purpose for which the data obtained is processed, comprising six types:

• Technical cookies: These allow users to navigate through a website, platform or application and use the different options or services available, such as controlling traffic and data communication, identifying the session, accessing restricted areas, remembering the items in a shopping cart, completing a purchase process, registering for or participating in an event, using security features while browsing, storing content for video or audio distribution, or sharing content via social media.

• Personalization cookies: These allow users to access the service with certain predefined general characteristics based on criteria in the user’s device, such as language, browser type, regional settings from which the service is accessed, etc.

• Analytics cookies: These allow the responsible party to monitor and analyze the behavior of users of the websites to which they are linked. The information collected through this type of cookie is used to measure website, application or platform activity and to create browsing profiles of users, in order to make improvements based on the analysis of usage data.

• Advertising cookies: These allow for the most efficient possible management of advertising spaces.

• Behavioral advertising cookies: These store information on users’ behavior obtained through continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows for the creation of a specific profile to display advertising based on that profile.

• External social media cookies: These are used so that visitors can interact with content on different social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and are generated only for users of those social networks. The usage conditions and information collected by these cookies are governed by the privacy policy of the respective social media platform.
