Juliano Mazzuchini (Jacareí, Brazil, 1981) is a Brazilian visual artist based in São Paulo. Originally trained in theater, he later transitioned to painting, where the body, gesture, and the instability of representation remain central to his practice.
Working from the human figure, Mazzuchini develops paintings that inhabit the territory between figuration and abstraction. Gesture, materiality, and erasure become structural elements that continuously reorganize the image, producing works that oscillate between recognition and disappearance.
His work has been exhibited in Brazil, Argentina, France, and the United States, including exhibitions at Galerie 20 Thorigny (Paris), Martha Pagy Escritório de Arte (Rio de Janeiro), Proa21 Museum, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Buenos Aires (MACBA), and Guy Hepner Editions. In 2024, he was shortlisted for The Hopper Prize.
